Biography
Since graduating law school in 1992, Kathy has represented individuals and businesses in various areas of civil litigation, primarily focusing in the areas of family law and employment law. Kathy brings to her family law clients and practice level-headedness, compassion, and many years of valuable experience. She assists clients in areas of divorce, child custody and support, post-divorce disputes and modifications, and adoptions.
Before returning to private practice in 2014, Kathy left family law practice in 2004 to work as in-house counsel for a major corporation. She practiced exclusively in the area of employment law there for approximately nine years, defending claims in all areas of employment discrimination and successfully defending a major wage and hour class action. Kathy continues to practice in the area of employment law, and assists both individuals and businesses in all areas of employment law, including employment discrimination, family leave, age and disability discrimination, and claims of retaliation. Kathy also conducts management training in state and federal employment law compliance and litigation avoidance.
