Our city has so many historic and fun places for tourists that are only accessible by car. But, for us locals, you may also just be trying to head home, grab some groceries or have a quick meal. While this car accident represents a single accident, four people met bodily harm because of this early morning collision. Per the story, three individuals were in critical condition as well.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s fatal crash data reveals more troublesome statistics about the number of fatal accidents within our state. In 2021, TDSHS reports over 1,300 deaths due to car crashes. No data year in the report contains less than 1,000 fatalities a year. Roughly, three people do not come home a day because of these severe accidents.
